Poland - PART 1 : WARSAW

After a lengthy and hectic 4th term which was jam-packed with unexpected happenings along the way (especially towards the end of it), the much-awaited winter holidays have ultimately knocked on the door.

It kicked off *officially* with a trip to Poland, which also marked the 8th European country that i've visited in the last 2 years . Queer but true, i've not really done any research about this particular country prior to it, but it turned out just as fine as any other trips could be. To unroll the curtain, let's take a look at the VIP's of this trip:

1) The vastly-experienced ''old Horse'' , Tan Wi Yang

2) The ultimate gal's magnet of ALG, Tan Kian Hong

3) and of coz, the one and only me, Chuah Teong Hee..:P

Poland, as suggested by its name, is indeed a ''porous land''. If i were to compare the road condition of it with the other 7 other european countries that i've been to, i would rate it as one the worst without the slightest hesitance or compunction. The abysmal condition of the road, coupled with the thick snow, have made strolling in Warsaw and Krakow a ''messy'' experience, albeit a pleasant one. If u are travelling to any of the attractions... say Ausschwitz or the Salt Mine, it's a miracle not to feel greasy after a 1-2 hours ''gallop'' on the car.

Our 'first and last' destination was Warsaw, the capital of Poland. Appealing as the name may sound, it's actually a fairly boring city with virtually nothing special for sightseeing.
Perhaps that's partially due to the idea that ''european cities are similar'' which is getting entrenched in my subconscious mind slowly but steadily nowadays.

Anyway, as the saying goes : there're no boring places, there're only boring ppl ...
so after all, Warsaw was not as boring or as dull as u might think... or should i say, Warsaw was very much alive with us there ??? oracles knows....

A picture says a thousand words, so i'll let the pictures do the trumpeting :

Who says u have to face the camera whilst taking pics
in oder to have nice photos ???

Wi Yang and Kian Hong were too excited after having seen me ''slipping n falling into the snow'' or ''pok kai'' just a few minutes ago b4 taking this pic ...

that ''special'' pic is still with either one of them..so u guys dun have the luxury to see it now....Schade !!

n now last pic of the day which tells us the reality of this world : never trust ur own frens, for they might attack u when u least expect them to..:p

to sum ''Warsaw'' up, travelling is at times similar to eating. One doesn't always need a sumptuous 5-star course to enjoy a meal to the fullest, one just needs the right ambience.
In this case, it means the right partners.

ps: coming up next Krakow, Ausschwitz and Salt Mine.
